Hitting the trails with Western States / UTWT

One of my favourite gigs — for the past few years I’ve been filming the Western States 100-mile race for the Ultra Trail World Tour, working with videographer Arnaud Cailloux. It’s hard to sum up WS in a few words if you haven’t experienced it — the race brings together runners from all over the world, along with their crews, and an incredible group of volunteers who make it all happen. And, yes, they really do run 100 miles without stopping (or sleeping!) It’s an insanely fun, intense, emotional Thing, and it all wraps up at the finish line here in Auburn. This year, I was especially thrilled to follow the leading women in the race. Here’s a preview of our footage from this year!
